Obesity

Obesity is a medical condition in which body fat exceeds normal body weight levels. This phenomenon affects all age groups, but chronically obese children often develop abnormal behaviour up to depression. Childhood obesity is often also associated with physical problems such as metabolic disorders (diabetes), heart problems, gastrointestinal and lung dysfunctions. Lack of physical activity is the most important obesity related factor, also as a result of sedentary lifestyle that is developing in urban realities. A combined program of diet and fitness can help to fight obesity, together with increasing self-esteem, a proper nutrition and the will to change lifestyle.
