Orienteering

#

Orienteering belongs to a family of sports that requires navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point. The orienteering race is a time trial in which the competitor must reach the finish line passing through a series of control points. The path to follow is plotted in red on the map. The path control points are indicated by a signal in the form of a three-sided prism, called lantern, marked by a code and equipped with a punching machine used by the competitor to punch the race card in the corresponding box. The start is marked by a triangle and the arrival by two circles. The winner is the competitor who punches all the boxes of the race card correctly and in the given order, in the shortest time possible.
