Stretching

The term "stretching" refers to the physical activity enhancing muscular elasticity and aiming at using joints as extensively as possible. Static stretching involves putting a muscle into a stretched position and holding that position for 10-30 seconds to allow a slow and gradual elongation of the involved muscles. During these exercises you should be careful to keep a correct position by stabilizing the trunk and spine, inhaling and exhaling slowly and evenly, slowly reaching the maximum stretch, and seamlessly switching from one exercise to another and achieving a stretch position that will make you feel good.

There are many different ways to perform a stretching exercise, since exercises should be «measured» according to the time they are performed. For example, there are pre-workout exercises, which are performed during the warm up, and there are post-workout exercises, which are performed during the cool down.
