Cell
A cell is a tiny particle of living matter in which all vital functions take place. During the development of the foetus, cells become specialized according to the functions that they will perform, thus acquiring different shapes and sizes. Billions of cells with similar specificity connect to each other through complex communication systems to form a tissue (see human body).
